Child & Adolescent Therapy

A private, supportive space for kids and teens, with families involved in the healing.

Young children and adolescents can benefit from therapy in several ways. There are times when children or adolescents need a private space to process their thoughts and feelings free from perceived judgment of parents or peers. Although it might make sense for children or adolescents to meet one-on-one with their therapist, all of our therapists believe the best opportunities to heal come with the collaboration of families.

Family Therapy may evolve from individual child or adolescent therapy. We are often called on to help children with anxiety, grief and loss, sadness, or other difficult developmental hurdles.

Play Therapy (directive and non-directive) is often used to achieve the desired results when working with children. Sand tray work can be a fantastic intervention with kids of all ages.

Children and adolescents can also benefit from therapy in a group format. Group therapy is facilitated by a licensed therapist. Group members benefit from sharing and learning from the experiences of their peers. Healing occurs at many levels.

Age ranges vary by therapist, and several of our clinicians work with children as young as 4. Browse our therapists or call us and we will help you find a good fit.
